A vision to see the city of Hamamatsu, Japan bursting at the seams with God's love

March 2010 Update April 15, 2010

I have a suspicion that the prayer letter that we attempted to send a couple of weeks ago never made it to you. I wish I could say it was computer error, but human error is more likely. :(

Be sure and scroll down to see Michaela teach you "how to eat sushi!" Ok, I know most of you will scroll down first. Just don’t forget to come back and read the prayer update!

Current prayer needs:

- Our family has been plagued with colds, bronchitis, ear infections, pink eye, sinus infections…you name it. We think we are nearing the end. Please pray that we can stay healthy for a while!
- We are doing much better on the health front. The purchase of Kleenex has slowed quite considerably.

- Jacob graduated from Japanese kindergarten! Yeah! We’re so proud of him. Thank you for your prayers for the kiddos. They’re doing great. Jacob starts 1st grade and Michaela starts kindergarten next week! Big adjustments and transitions coming once again!
- Michaela has completed 5 days of kindergarten and Jacob 3 days of elementary school. They are doing well. Michaela came home singing a Japanese song the first day! Jacob got a round of applause for saying something in Japanese in front of the class. Please continue to pray for their transition and that they would make many friends.

- Matt’s language assistant is preparing to move to Brazil so Matt was in need of a new helper. God quickly provided! Matt met a young man from a local church who was interested in the job. He’ll be starting this week or next!
- Matt and Shi-san have met twice and it’s going very well.

- We’ve invited a neighbor family over for Easter Sunday. Pray that we can clearly share the gospel through the Easter story and continue to develop this friendship. They are the Taka family.
- The Taka family witnessed egg hunting for the first time and had a blast. More importantly, they heard the gospel message for the first time. We had a great day together. Please ask the Lord for this family to come to understand and believe His message for them.

- We’re searching for people whom we can dialogue with in Japanese on a regular basis. This is going to be crucial for our language progress. Please pray that we will put forth the effort needed and find the right people whom we can talk with. Pray that we will make good progress over this next month before our 2nd language evaluation.
- Need much prayer. :)

Thank you!
Love, The Parsleys
