Hi, my name is Alexis Bailey. I go to fbc Roswell. I am in
fifth grade in the Awana program. Part of my handbook assignments
are to get information from missionaries. Here are some of the
questions from my handbook: I wanted to know how the children’s
program in Japan is different from ours here in Roswell. Where the
children meet, what are the names of the Bible teachers. What are
the students learning? We have uniform shirts in Awana, do they
have uniforms also? If so what do the uniforms look like? I saw you
in vbs (on the big screen through skype). sincerely, Alexis

Hi Alexis,
It’s great to hear from you! We haven’t started an Awanas program yet, but my good friend at Atsugi Naval Base has a really big program going so I asked her for help. Her is her letter to you:
Actually, we run our Awana Clubs just the same as Awana Clubs in the States
Our
are run! The only difference is that about 1/3 of our club membership is
made up of Japanese kids. Some of them are Japanese Christians, but many of
them are not yet Christians, so you can pray for them please!!
handbooks are just the same as yours, but a few of the Japanese kids have
Japanese handbooks. We wear the same Awana uniforms and everything!
Kindly,
Christina (and my friend Lisa)
Want to hear all your news. Will be praying for you.
